Exploring Coastal Erosion

Today we went on a visit to Shaldon, we went through the smugglers tunnel to the beach. Here we found some fantastic examples of erosion and cliff falls. We fascinated by the layers in the rock and the rockfalls, and we spent some time exploring and explaining why this happens and what each fall could reveal.

We also looked at the waterfalls and filtration leading to how clear the water was falling down the cliffs, and had some fun letting the cold water run through our fingers.
