HAF Summer of 2022

This summer we have run our HAF programme, a four hours per day, four days per week for four weeks project. We had children joining us at Treacle Valley, exploring the Geopark and Arts and Heritage week. For us staff it was wonderful to be able to add this experience to these children.

The children learnt the following;

“I have learnt to make paper flowers”

“I have learnt to play table tennis”

“I have learnt how to toast marshmallows”

“I have learnt the hep game”

“I have learnt how to make fortune tellers”

When we asked the children what their favourite activity was some said: “My favourite activity was camping”, “My favourite activity was sleeping in a tent” and “My favourite activity was going to Cockington”.

To the question if they have tried something new some said;

“Something new I have never tried before was camping”
“Something new I have never tried before was table tennis”
“Something new I have never tried before was participating in the talent show”
“Something new I have never tried before was playing the hep game”

Some feedback from parents include;

“My son has enjoyed his time at the programme”

“It was absolutely amazing and benefitted my son enormously. Initially he was reluctant to go but he loved the staff and activities so much he couldn’t wait to go back!”

“Great place for children to meet new friends”
