At Wednesday’s Imagination Station we had a visit from Sarah and Heather from the Seal Project! This was a really inspiring evening and Sarah shared lots of her knowledge and experience with us all. We learned about seal behaviour, how to identify different seals and the threats caused by disturbance and entanglement. We also had the chance to name some seals ourselves and came up with some great choices, so if you hear about seals called Frappuccino, Otter or Cookie Dough around the Devon coast you know where the names came from! Unfortunately due to the carnival and associated road closures we had to cut the session short, but hopefully we can persuade Sarah to come back with her fun follow-up activity another time!
Thanks very much to the Seal Project for an interesting and informative session, we learned so much and have been inspired to take action for the local marine environment.
