I love what Taleblazers does because it can make a huge difference for some of these young people by connecting them with the outdoors and new experiences that can help them find out what they’re good at and find themselves.
After a brief career as a soldier, I’ve been an English teacher and senior leader in secondary schools for 22 years. I’ve always enjoyed working with people and helping them develop. I’ve also always loved the outdoors and have been involved in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and outdoor pursuits throughout my career. I know that conventional classrooms aren’t easy or even possible for some young people and there isn’t enough support or help for many less fortunate young people growing up. I love what Taleblazers does because it can make a huge difference for some of these young people by connecting them with the outdoors and new experiences that can help them find out what they’re good at and find themselves. This is what I hope and aim to help do.
